- A true Christian is one who follows Jesus every day and believes in Him for the remission of sins.
- A true Christian accepts Jesus via faith and becomes a child of God because they believe in him (John 1:12).
- A true believer has turned from his sins and toward God (Acts 3:19)
- According to Matthew 10:37–38, a sincere Christian loves Jesus more than his mother, father, son, or daughter.
- A true follower of Jesus is prepared to give up everything in order to follow him (Luke 14:33).
- True Christians have unwavering faith in God, just as kids have faith in their parents (Matthew 18:3).
- A true follower of Jesus is one who denies himself and is prepared to endure suffering (Mark 8:34).
- A real Christian obeys Jesus (Hebrew 5:9)
- According to Matthew 13:44, a true Christian values Jesus more than everything this world has to offer.
Jesus issues a stark warning to us. He says that many will say, “Lord, Lord,” but they will hear, “I never knew you,” from Him on the Last Day (Matthew 7:21-23). The most significant question in your life is therefore whether or not you are a true Christian. You must be certain! “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith,” the Bible commands (2 Corinthians 13:5).
Put your faith in and follow the Lord Jesus to be granted eternal life.
