Sharing in God’s glory

What does the Bible teach about hope?

“You will appear in glory with Christ, who is your life, when he appears.” (Ephesians 3:4)

As a follower of Jesus, you are his. That means, far too frequently, being mocked or disregarded. You are a part of His pain. And it can be quite difficult at times! However, 1 Peter 5:1 assures us that if you are connected to Jesus, you are also “a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed.” All who are His will get “the unfading crown of glory” when Jesus returns in glory. In His Kingdom, He will provide them a position of dignity.

Paul informs us that he endured great suffering for the faith. Even though he had a difficult existence, he persisted. He longs to look forward to the crown the Lord will give him when he senses that his time to die is drawing near. He firmly believes that the grandeur that awaits him now surpasses all of the challenges he has encountered here on Earth.

How does your life currently appear? Is your faith causing you difficulties? Then remember that life is fleeting and that God’s glory is far greater than any challenge on earth! Forever, his is the kingdom, the power, and the glory.
