What does it mean that Jesus died for me?

According to Galatians 2:20, “the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me,” Jesus died on the cross because He loves you.

Jesus gave His life in order to take the punishment for your transgressions on behalf of you: “Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood” (Romans 3:24–25).

You would not be condemned since Jesus died on the cross for you: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Who is to blame? The one who died was Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1,34).

According to Matthew 26:28, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins,” Jesus died in order to atone for your sins.

According to Romans 5:10, you “were reconciled to God by the death of his Son” because of the atonement that Jesus paid for your sins.

Jesus gave his life in order to free you from the fear of Satan and his minions: “The debt record… he set aside, nailing it to the cross.” According to Colossians 2:15, “He disarmed the authorities and rulers and put them to open shame.”

According to Galatians 1:3–4, “the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age,” died in your place in order to break the power of sin in your life.

We have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus since He died for you, so you can freely [enter God’s presence in prayer] (Hebrews 10:19).

According to 1 Peter 2:24, “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness,” Jesus died for you so that you might detest sin and take pleasure in doing good.

Jesus said, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many,” at the cross in order to ensure that you would always have faith and never turn away from God (Mark 14:24). “I will establish an enduring covenant with them… And so that they won’t turn away from me, I will instill fear of me in their hearts (Jeremiah 32:40).

According to Romans 6:5, “For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.” Jesus died in order to ensure that you would rise from the dead.

According to John 3:16, “God… gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus died in your place to grant you eternal life.

“For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified,” (Hebrews 10:14) Jesus died for you to guarantee that you will be perfectly as God wants you to be in eternity. He also died to start you on your path to holiness now.

Only those who have faith in Christ are eligible for all these amazing things that Jesus accomplished through his dying. Thus, live and trust in Him!
