Living in God’s presence gives you a goal in life

“In fact, I consider everything to be lost due to the immeasurable value of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord.” (See Philippians 3:8)

Life is lovely and we have many plans most of the time. Life can be difficult and depressing at times. It is crucial to keep a greater goal in mind in both scenarios. While significant, our earthly existence is not the most significant. When our plans come to pass, we can be happy, and when they don’t, we might be sad. However, when we live intentionally with God, all of that is put into appropriate perspective. Having a relationship with Him and knowing Him is genuinely of “surpassing worth.” Paul states that becoming one with the Lord Jesus and experiencing both the power of His resurrection and suffering is his ultimate objective in life.

This aim will only be partially achieved in the future because perfect unification won’t start until after our earthly lives. However, God is still present and resides in the hearts of His children today. Their lives have meaning and perspective because of their unity with God. The good and the bad aspects about this life on Earth, in contrast, pass away.

What is the meaning of your life? Does a life in God’s presence make sense with that?
