Jesus gives life that is full and good

“I came to earth so that they might have abundant life.” (John 10:10)

Jesus frequently explained abstract concepts via parables. Spiritual issues occasionally become more apparent through these brief tales about commonplace occurrences. Jesus compares Himself to a shepherd multiple times—but not of sheep, but of people. He identifies as “the Good Shepherd” and states His purpose as follows: He aspires to grant everyone life in all its richness. He desires to keep them safe from malicious individuals and spiritual forces. When they have strayed, he wants to find them and bring them back securely. He desires to save them from perilous circumstances that they have brought upon themselves. He is even prepared to die in order to achieve that. Not in the story alone, but in actual life!

The pinnacle of Jesus’ love was shown when He gave His life to save others. And He extends this kindness to those who have turned their backs on God and are acting antagonistically toward Him. Such a thing would never be done by a human. However, Jesus stated that this was the very reason He came to earth in Luke 19:10, saying, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
