Jesus frequently borrowed things

“He entered Simon’s boat and requested that he venture a short distance out from the coast. He then took a seat and began instructing the folks from the boat. (See Luke 5:3).

When Jesus was on earth, He frequently took things from people around Him. Luke 5:3 says that Jesus took a boat borrowed from Simon, Peter. He used Peter’s home, healing his mother-in-law and tending to many ailing people there (Mark 1:29–34). According to Matthew 21:1-3, he rode into Jerusalem on a rented donkey. According to Luke 23:50–53, the tomb He was placed in was not His own. Jesus, the Creator of heaven and earth, in Whom dwells all of God (Colossians 1:15–20), led a simple life and relied on other people by using their possessions.

What does this currently signify for us? Should we simply take what we can from others, as Jesus did? That’s not always the end result; if everyone borrows, then nobody will be able to lend money anymore. Nonetheless, Jesus can teach us a few things. First, it’s obvious that relationships, not material belongings, are what matter to him. You need the other person, after all. Furthermore, Jesus encouraged possessors not to become overly attached to their possessions by lending them. Be easygoing if others wish to utilize what is truly yours. Using items collectively rather than purchasing them all at once benefits the environment and your pocketbook.

What items are you at ease giving away to others? Which items are you willing to take from others?
